Finch Soap Opera
So Willow and Pierce were very happy together in their cage in the living room and Maddox and Neve were passionately in love in the kitchen and expecting their first egg, when disaster struck. Neve died of mysterious causes, no autopsy was performed. (She might return in next season, played by another actresses, with a miraculous story of being kidnapped to become a princess of a small unheard of country, who's goons faked her death.)

After a few days of mourning, a new actress was cast as Hazel, the new girl in town. She and Maddox hit it off, even though he was obviously still mourning Neve's death. The trouble really started when I tried to move both Maddox and Hazel into the cage with Willow and Pierce. Maddox suffered some sort of a breakdown and started showing aggresion to Willow and Pierce, mostly Pierce. Hazel just contented herself in the corner, and played happily with the toys.

Maddox and Hazel moved back out, amid a flurry of feathers.
But as they settled into their own little cage, Maddox refused to allow Hazel into the little nesting box, as if he were waiting for Neve to return. Hazel was sweet and understanding and just played with a toy in the corner, but Maddox's grief continued to spiral him downward until he became aggressive to Hazel.

Hazel fled to the only friend she knew, Willow and Pierce. But in this new atmosphere of two females to one male, Willow felt threatened and wouldn't let Hazel get close. Pierce welcomed Hazel a little too enthusiastically, and Willow got angry and retreated to the nesting box, waiting despartely for Pierce to join her, but he was busy shacking up with Hazel in the food dish.

Maddox called out plaintively from his lonely cage, and Hazel returned to him. Tune in tomorrow to find out if he's mended his ways, and find out whether Willow will take Pierce back.
